What Are Coregistration Leads?

There are many misconceptions about what a coregistration lead is and what it is not. Coregistration leads are also called "co-reg leads."

What is a "Co-Reg Lead?" 95% of all people DO NOT understand what coregistration is. That is because the person who told them did not understand either. So, let me explain.

A coregistration lead (coreg lead) is simply a person who signed up for one thing, and then was presented with other offers to sign up for as well.

For example, let's say you are online and you request some information about exercise equipment. You fill out the form and click "Submit." Before you get your information, you are led to a page that lists between 2 and 5 "other offers" to get more information about as well. They could be coupons, vacations, book clubs, recipies, or a home business. I'm sure you have seen a page like this. This is coregistration.

Now, there are good coreg leads and bad coreg leads. Here is a list of things that make a coregistration lead bad:

gives a prospect an incentive to click more ads
all the boxes are already prechecked
customers earn points for checking more boxes
there are more than 5 ads
customers get a percentage off their purchase by checking more boxes
there are no boxes to check or uncheck

However, there are good coregistration companies. Some are very good. A good coreg lead:

only has 2 - 5 offers
each offer is completely unique
customers must check the box to receive more information
there are no incentives at all
customers can easily unsubscribe
